Mr. David Galvin
Mr David Galvin is a highly regarded Consultant Urologist based in Dublin, practicing at both the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital and St. Vincent’s University Hospital. He graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1996 and completed his specialist training in urology in Ireland, earning Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2008. He then undertook advanced fellowship training in urological oncology at the internationally renowned Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, one of the world’s leading cancer institutions.
Mr Galvin has extensive experience in the management of prostate conditions, including prostate cancer and benign prostate enlargement. He is known for delivering high-quality, evidence-based care and for staying at the forefront of developments in urology to ensure patients have access to the most effective treatment options available.
In addition to his clinical work, Mr Galvin plays a leading role in prostate cancer care in Ireland. He is Chair of the National Prostate Cancer Leads Network, Head of Research within the Irish Society of Urology, and a Senior Lecturer at University College Dublin. He also leads major national research initiatives focused on improving outcomes for patients.
Mr Galvin is widely respected for both his clinical expertise and his patient-focused approach, taking the time to clearly explain options and support patients in making informed decisions about their care.
