Michael Yu

Dr. Michael Yu is a graduate of Dartmouth College and received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine in 1995. His general surgery internship was performed at NYU/Bellevue Hospital in New York City, with an additional year of general surgery and four years of urologic surgery residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri. During his residency training, he worked extensively with Dr. William Catalona, one of the pioneers of nerve-sparing prostatectomy, and Dr. Ralph Clayman, one of the leading minimally invasive urologists in the world. During his training, Dr. Yu has written or co-authored several publications, including articles and book chapters on laparoscopic nephrectomy and nephroureterectomy and urologic trauma, and his work has been presented at the American Urological Association Annual Meeting. He is also a Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at Wright State University's Boonshoft School of Medicine. He has been very active in the teaching of urology to medical students and residents.
