Dr. Scott Hassell

Dr. Hassell is a native Texan. He was born in the panhandle in Dumas and spent most of his life in Fort Worth before attending The University of Texas, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with Honors in 1980. He attended The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas from 1980-1984, then accepted a 6- year residency position in General Surgery and Urology at The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston from 1984-1990. This included 4 years at Hermann Hospital with flight surgeon experience with Life-Flight under Dr. Red Duke, and 2 years at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center under Chairman Andrew von Eschenbach and Professors Douglas E. Johnson, David Swanson, and Richard Babaian. Dr. Hassell spent a year in practice in Fort Worth with The Urology Clinic before returning to Dallas in 1991 as a solo practitioner in Urology. In 1999 Dr. Hassell joined North Dallas Urology Associates as a Partner, and has since practiced in Dallas, Richardson, Plano, and Frisco.
