Dr. Ryan Baker completed his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, and his Medical Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma. He then completed his surgical internship and urology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Dr. Baker is trained in all aspects of male and female adult general Urology and can manage almost any Urologic condition, including cancer. He utilizes the minimally invasive DaVinci robot to perform most abdominal surgeries. He performs in-office vasectomy via a single incision, minimizing recovery and pain. He has a particular interest in treating benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) with newer surgical techniques such as Rezūm, UroLift, robotic-assisted simple prostatectomy (RASP), and Aquablation. He treats localized and advanced (metastatic) prostate cancer; utilizing a robotic nerve-sparing technique when performing surgery to improve post-operative erectile function. Dr. Baker’s practice is constantly adapting to new technology and data. Dr. Baker’s practice is currently based out of Methodist Dallas Medical Center, a level one trauma center and one of largest hospitals in the DFW metroplex. He currently lives in Dallas with his wife, daughter, dog, and cat. His hobbies/interests include Dallas Stars hockey, college football, golf, soccer, lake trips, and snow skiing.
