Dr. Lauren Cooley

Lauren Cooley, MD PhD is a board-certified urologist specializing in minimally-invasive and robotic surgery for the surgical management of urologic cancer and BPH (enlarged prostate). She graduated with her M.D and Ph.D in Immunology from the Medical College of Virginia/VCU in 2017. She then completed her urology residency at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL serving as chief resident from 2022-2023. During her training, she completed a post-doctoral research fellowship in urologic oncology focusing on bladder cancer genomics and active surveillance in prostate cancer. She currently specializes in the surgical management of men with urologic cancers and BPH offering cutting-edge, minimally-invasive technologies including Aquablation in the Myrtle Beach/Murrells Inlet/and Georgetown areas.
