Dr. Joshua Bitran

Dr. Joshua Bitran is a urologist at Mount Sinai Medical Center, where he provides comprehensive care for both benign and malignant urologic conditions. He earned his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine and completed his urology residency at the University of Miami, where he gained extensive training in minimally invasive, endoscopic, and robotic surgery. Dr. Bitran completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Miami, where he was recognized on the Dean’s List (2009, 2011) and selected for the PRISM Program (2009, 2010), a highly competitive honors research initiative. During medical school at St. George’s University, he was awarded the Iota Epsilon Alpha Outstanding Service Award (2016) for his volunteer work with the IEA Honors Society. Throughout medical school and residency, Dr. Bitran was actively involved in research, helping conduct clinical trials in hypogonadism and male infertility and publishing work in erectile dysfunction, sexual medicine, surgical procedures, hypogonadism, male infertility, and resident education. He is an active member of the American Urological Association and the Sexual Medicine Society of North America. His clinical expertise includes the evaluation and treatment of kidney stones, enlarged prostate (BPH), urinary incontinence, erectile dysfunction, male infertility, hypogonadism, and urologic cancers. Dr. Bitran offers minimally invasive treatment options tailored to each patient. He speaks Spanish and is dedicated to delivering compassionate, personalized, and evidence-based care that prioritizes both functional outcomes and quality of life. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
