Dr. Howard Woo

Dr. Howard Woo earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He completed his surgery residency at the University of California at Irvine Medical Center and his urology residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, where he also completed a min-fellowship in neuro-urology. Dr. Woo holds diplomate certification from the American Board of Urology and has been on staff at Ochsner since 1998. An active researcher, Dr. Woo has several scientific medical articles, abstracts, presentations and lectures to his credit. Dr. Woo specializes in general urology, including minimally invasive procedures for prostate and bladder problems, urinary incontinence, kidney stone disease, and men's health including erectile dysfunction, voiding dysfunction and neurobiology (sacral nerve stimulation) for bladder control issues. His additional specialties include Rezum therapy and Aquablation for BPH, brachytherapy for prostate cancer, endoscopic surgery and LGBTQ+ healthcare. Dr. Woo's practice provides in-office vasectomies and UroNav prostate biopsies.
