Dr. Alvaro Santamaria

Dr. Al Santamaria is a fellowship-trained urologist specializing in male sexual health and reproductive medicine who practices in the San Francisco Bay Area. Born and raised in Los Angeles, he graduated from UCSD with a degree in Bioengineering with a focus in biotechnology and worked in biotech before attending medical school at UCLA. He completed his general surgery internship and urology residency at UCLA, where he also spent a year conducting research on male sexual health, male fertility, and access to urologic care. Following residency, he sub-specialized in Male Sexual Health and Reproductive Medicine at the University of Washington where he trained under internationally recognized experts in the field.
