Dr. Kim welcomes the opportunity to address your urological concerns and he is particularly skilled in the areas of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH, an enlarged prostate gland), kidney/bladder stones, and urologic oncology (prostate, bladder, kidney, testis, and penile cancer). His special interests include minimally invasive procedures including laparoscopy and Da Vinci robotic surgery. Dr. Kim earned his Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1997. He received his PhD in chemical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY in 2003. He obtained his medical degree from the State University of New York in Buffalo, NY in 2007. He completed his internship and residency in urology at Northwestern University (Northwestern Memorial Hospital) in Chicago in 2008 and 2013, respectively. He completed his Society of Urologic Oncology (SUO) accredited fellowship at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX in 2015. Dr. Kim is a member of American Urological Association (AUA) and the Society of Urologic Oncology (SUO). He has published numerous articles in basic science and clinical urology and has presented these findings at national meetings. Dr. Kim’s personal interests include spending time with his family and playing basketball, volleyball and golf. Dr. Kim welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans.
