Dr. Lev Elterman is a distinguished urologist specializing in advanced treatments for urinary incontinence, pelvic prolapse, prostate conditions, and kidney stones. He is highly skilled in minimally invasive and robotic procedures, including Aquablation for BPH, percutaneous stone surgery, and complex reconstructive operations such as nerve-sparing prostatectomy and orthotopic neobladder creation. He was the first urologist at Rush University to perform an Aquablation procedure in 2020.
He is the founder of Advanced Urology LTD, where he currently sees patients and provides comprehensive urologic care. He is performing surgical procedures and teaching Urological Residents at Advocate Illinois Masonic Hospital. He is the founding chairman of the International Russian-speaking Urological Society (iRUS) and president of the Chicagoland Association of Russian-speaking Physicians (CARP).
A graduate of Rush Medical College with residency training at Rush University Medical Center, Dr. Elterman has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications on topics including male infertility, penile self-amputation, and xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis, contributing significantly to the field of urology. Dr. Elterman is a patient-centered physician dedicated to serving his community and is a respected leader in the greater Chicago area.
