Omar Hamoui, MD, has practiced urology in Hernando County since 2009. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he relocated to Florida with his family and graduated with honors from the University of Florida in Gainesville with both a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degree. He received his medical degree from Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He then completed an internship in general surgery and was chief resident of urology at the University of South Florida. He is board certified in urology by the AUA. Dr. Hamoui specializes in urology and treats conditions/performs procedures such as enlarged prostate, Urolift, circumcision, bladder cancer, interstim/bladder neuromodulation, kidney cancer, laparoscopic surgery, robotic surgery, endoscopic/microsurgery, low testosterone, prostate cancer, MRI guided prostate biopsy, erectile dysfunction, and penile cancer. Dr. Hamoui is fluent in both English and Arabic. He is married with two children. His interests include reading, basketball, skiing, and scuba diving.
