Dr. John Faulkner

John Faulkner, MD, is Board Certified in Urology and attended medical school at East Carolina University Medical School. After receiving his medical degree, he completed an internship in general surgery and a residency program in urology at the University of California Irvine Medical Center. Interested and excelling in science studies while in high school, Dr. Faulkner thought he might pursue a career in medicine. But while caring for a high school friend with a spinal cord injury from an accident, he became certain that medicine would become his life’s work. “It was while helping my friend recover after his accident that I knew I wanted to become a physician,” states Dr. Faulkner. During rotations in medical school, Dr. Faulkner was interested in numerous specialties but ultimately decided on urology. “I became interested in urology since it encompassed major and minor surgery, laparoscopy, diagnostic imaging and also includes office-based medicine”, added Dr. Faulkner.
