Dr. Donald Neff
Donald Neff, MD, FACS, is an Associate Professor of Urology at the University of Kansas Medical Center. A native of Wisconsin, he entered healthcare as a firefighter/paramedic in Janesville, Wisconsin. During this time, he developed his passion for medicine, and earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater. He then went on to complete medical school and a Urology residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin. While a medical student there, he earned several awards, including the William Booker Memorial Award in pharmacology, the Hiram Benjamin Award for proficiency in anatomy, the Frankow Award for outstanding academic achievement and the Millman Award. As a resident, he also received the Medical College of Wisconsin Award for house staff excellence in teaching. He has also received the resident choice teaching award at the University of Kansas. Dr. Neff has authored several abstracts and peer-reviewed papers and travels to Honduras annually for a medical mission to provide urologic care.
His treatment focus is on treatment of benign prostate disease and kidney stones. He has a special interest in management of urological trauma.
Dr. Neff is a member of American Urological Association and American College of Surgeons.
